Every stimulus affects our creativity. Even something simple as an accompanying beverage can affect your creative atmosphere. So I thought I’d give you a list of my favorite “inspiring beverages” that you may have never experienced.
- Lapsang Souchong Tea
This is one of the most unique experiences I’ve ever had in a beverage. It literally feels like you are drinking a fireplace. It’s such a smokey tea, but it’s surprisingly pleasant. It’ll make you feel warm and wintery…a great alternative to decaf coffee. You’ll probably either love it or hate it. - Sweet Leaf Mint & Honey Green Tea
This tea will chill your mouth while waking your mind. It feels like the perfect warm-weather beverage. I love to drink it when I need to work in a springtime atmosphere. - Café Cubano
One of my favorite sources of caffeine. Essentially…it’s a shot of espresso and sugar that you brew with the water. It’s black but ridiculously sweet. If you get a good quality coffee it will taste amazing. If it’s not so great it will be so nasty. Find a true Cuban to make one for you…you won’t be sorry. - Yerba Mate
A South American staple. This is an herb that will wake you up! Einstein actually drank this stuff. (As shown in the picture that looks like Einstein’s holding a bong.) The linked “Mate kit” will be a perfect way to get into this drink. - White Chocolate Peppermint Mocha
Another refreshing beverage…obviously a bit warmer than the Mint & Honey Green Tea. White chocolate and peppermint syrup…yum! You can create one at most any coffee shop. - Caramel Apple Cider
I first drank this when I frequented Starbucks, before I liked coffee. It’s brilliant…it’s a caramel apple in a cup. You can make your own at home or go to Starbucks and have them whip one up for you. - White Hot Chocolate
White chocolate…hot…yummy. If you make it right it will have a touch of almond taste too…perfect non-caffeine beverage for a cold day.
So those are some of my favorite (lesser known) drinks. What are your favorites?
Really good (i.e. NOT Folger’s), strong black coffee. What can I say? It’s basic but it clears my head and gets me breathing again.

Twinings Pumpkin Spice Chai Tea: Hands down THE best chai I’ve ever tasted, but it’s really stinking hard to get a hold of!
