The David Crowder Band is certainly one of the more interesting rock bands in the Christian music industry. Some of their many distinguishing experiments include:
- rewiring a Guitar Hero guitar for use in one of their songs
- a release of a B-side bluegrass album
- the lead singer’s hair (shown above)
- their continuing forays into electronic music
One of my favorite bits of creativity they unleashed on their audience was a bonus track (You Alone) that spanned multiple albums and a website. To hear the track, you had to start two tracks from separate CDs on separate CD players–and a track found on a hidden website–all at the same time. Although that’s an annoying amount of work just to hear a song it was a fun idea. If you’re not already loving their sauce, give them a try. Until then enjoy some of their creativity here:
