Right now I’m in a world between worlds. I’m on an overnight bus traveling between states in Argentina. While we’re here, our home base is an apartment in downtown Buenos Aires. Then we packed smaller bags and headed to a suburb. Then we packed even smaller bags and got on this bus to the state of Misiones. Finally, we packed even smaller bags to visit Iguazú Falls near the borders of Brazil and Paraguay.
It’s like I’m in a dream within a dream within a dream.
If you remember the movie, inception was placing a thought inside someone’s mind by digging into their dreams and subconscious. I’ve been incepted.
So many thoughts and ideas have flooded my mind. And that wouldn’t have happened unless I’d escaped my comfort zone…multiple times.
Though this trip has been a blast, each move away from “home base” has been less and less comfortable. I need a place to anchor, and that’s been pulled away from me. I wouldn’t trade it for the world. My anchor needed to be lost.
Does your anchor need to be lost? When was the last time you slipped into a dream within a dream within a dream? When did you allow yourself to be subject to inception? Inspiration?
Are you married to comfort or do you let yourself get a bit uncomfortable at times?
Let me encourage you to get uncomfortable. It’s worth every second.
Bro, how did you get an apartment in Buenos Aires? I am going there in the summer with my family and all of the hotels are super expensive. How much does an apartment run?
Cool
My wife’s family has a couple apartments downtown. They hooked us up. 🙂
