Today’s Idea Sparkler is about giving you a different perspective on your creativity. Imagine you were creating as a fly. How would you accomplish the same creativity? And what would be different about the creation because you were a fly? Follow me…
Let’s say you’re a painter. As a fly, you wouldn’t be able to wield a paintbrush. You might roll around in a color and flutter your wings over the canvas. How would that change the painting? It would add a unique texture to the picture. Now how can you recreate that texture as a human?
Or let’s say you’re a graphic designer needing to make a flyer. As a fly, you wouldn’t be able to use a computer. You would have to move items around until you created the appearance you wanted. Your design might incorporate different sheets of a paper, food items or objects. You might end up making something more abstract than literal. Now how can you recreate that on your computer as a human?
Imagine the differences flies deal with. Picture those differences as your own and see how it would affect your art. Then try it out. You might come up with something completely original!
