This might be the scariest truth you will ever encounter. Or, if you see it the right way, it can be the most exciting truth ever. Here is it: There is rarely (almost never) one right answer.
Standardized tests in school teach us there is always a right answer. It’s either a, b, c, d, or e. Unfortunately, that’s now how life works.
Hypothetical questions teach us the same false truth. “You’re in a life raft on the seas. You only have food for three people. There are four people in the boat. Who do you kill?” The hypothetical question forced you into choosing one answer. But again, that’s now how life works.
The only right answers are when it comes to getting to heaven, but everything else is much more fluid than that.
Do you choose job (a) or job (b)? Why not choose both? Why not neither and start your own company? Why not work on that novel you’ve been dreaming of? Why not apply for a job you’ve never even considered? Why not call of Donald Trump and ask to shadow him for a day?
Unless God’s told you something specific, why don’t you explore? God loves giving us options and watching us take risks that honor Him.
Life isn’t so cut-and-dry. It’s fluid. And God has given us such creativity to move in and out of problems without having to choose one of two options. There are limitless possibilities. Start exploring them.

Great stuff! I was thinking about this exact same idea a few months ago! It’s the reason I’ve never liked math. Growing up, they tell you that you have to do this problem one way, and the next problem a different way, and you have to show your work the whole time. I’m a designer! I like finding solutions my own way when there are many different options out there.
It’s encouraging to have options and being able to take risks and make mistakes knowing that one decision won’t ruin your whole life!
