Look at the universe. Our galaxy is a speck within the universe. Our planet is a speck within the galaxy. You are a speck within our planet. Now what are you stressed about? What’s blocking your creativity?
That creative block, that stress, is a speck within a speck within a speck. When it comes down to it, we aren’t as big as we think we are. We don’t really matter.
- That epic failure you had…it doesn’t matter.
- Those little details you obsess over…they don’t matter.
- That massive creative block…it has no effect on the world, spinning on its axis.
This isn’t meant to discourage you. Rather, it’s a reminder to enjoy creativity. When we remember how small we are, it allows us to actually enjoy creativity. We don’t need to stress over it. The world won’t crumble over our mistakes.
Rather, we have the opportunity to make a small, but lasting, impact on others. While others shrink into the shadows, fearing failure. We can shine. We can create. Embrace the opportunity to turn your insignificance into something awesome. Instead of fearing failure, embrace creativity.
WOW…very Ecclesiastes.
Haha…I could see that…I’m hoping you mean in an encouraging sense and not discouraging…didn’t mean it to bring people down. 😛
No just the whole “Everything under the sun is meaningless.” Just pointing out the similarity.
haha. well at least I’m thinking Biblically…even if most of the stuff in Ecclesiastes isn’t actually “Biblical”. 😛

Love it. Thanks for sharing. Putting things in the right perspective is a good habit to have.
Although, we do matter. A lot, actually. But the things we stress about? Probably not.
Definitely. 🙂

Great word!! Very true, we should never get side tracked and think our mistakes out weigh the great things God has for us! Knowing that God created us and knows the number of hairs on our head is also a crazy/awesome in depth thought just like our universe! God’s design is so meticulous and perfect! We are ever being perfected into his image!
Good word 🙂
