Announcing my latest blogging endeavor. It’s a paleo food blog. I know, it’s completely different than any other blog I have. And frankly it’s a little bit outside of my comfort zone.
But a few nights ago I was wide awake with the idea. I couldn’t sleep for about two hours while I was thinking about the idea.
Anytime something keeps me awake like that—as long as the excitement isn’t gone in the morning—I try to make happen. If it’s something I’m excited about, it’s probably something I should do.
I’m calling it Vicariously Paleo because I’m not really paleo. I’m paleo because my wife is. And since I do a lot of the cooking, that makes me a paleo cook.
I’m already brainstorming and photographing my creations. Why wouldn’t I do a little extra and turn it into another product?
So what should you learn from my new endeavor?
- Don’t be afraid to try something new—even if it’s outside your normal scope of skill.
- If any idea keeps you awake at night, it’s probably something you should act on.
- What do you already do that you could turn into another project or product—without it requiring too much of your time?
I love what Willie George says. He talks about the fact that God worked six days and rested on the seventh. Six days. Most of us only work five days. What will your sixth day project be?
This is my sixth day project. With a little help from my wife and other mommy/food bloggers, I hope to turn this into something awesome.
We’ll see how it goes. I’m excited about the journey.

I will totally follow your blog. I can’t wait!!!
Yey! FOOD BLOG!
