Time to create. Time to be awesome. But the inspiration just isn’t coming. The temptation to recline by the tv or explore Facebook is too strong. Ever feel this way?
Welcome to the club. I’m actually experiencing the same thing. I just watched 4 episodes of a show I don’t even like. I cleaned the house. I made some coffee. Everything to avoid blogging.
See, I have 6 blog posts I was supposed to write last night. Didn’t happen. How am I going to make this happen if I’m already behind schedule and still not motivated.
I’m going to bully myself into submission. Five minutes ago I decided I would make this happen whatever the cost. I pulled myself up from the couch, got changed, and came to the gym.
I’m currently gracing the elliptical with my feet and my iPad with this post. I plan to get the rest done while my fancy feet are making me sweat.
Sometimes we need to muscle our way through the creative block. We can’t be the victims of our creativity. Our brain serves our purposes-not the other way around.
So next time you’re feeling a bit of creative block-slap yourself. Make a decision to do whatever it takes to get your creative juices flowing. Time to create. Time to be awesome.

I’ll have to admit, working out was not the first picture that came to mind when you said elliptical.
I’m to obsessed with lighting…
haha. you ARE too obsessed 🙂

I go through a little phase of depression when my wife and kids go away for a night or two. On the front end I think about all the time I’ll have for writing, photo editing, blinging-up my blog…and then I end up watching hours of television while eating cheetos. I don’t even like Cheetos.
I need to find a way around that one…
I’d go to a coffee shop, wear some massive headphones, and just burry yourself in your computer for 6 hours. Changes of scenery are always good bullies for me 🙂
