Want to get really creative really fast? Pick a fight with someone bigger, stronger and more creative than you.
Art imitates nature, and necessity is the mother of invention. In nature, stronger animals eat weaker animals. Unless the weak animal is more clever.
And picking a fight with a bigger creative animal will force you to be clever.
This doesn’t mean you go pick a fight with Mozart’s grave. But find a worthy adversary and try to “beat” them.
You’ll be the underdog, and that’s a beautiful thing to be. Underdogs have the most heart. Underdogs have the most to gain. Everyone gets behind an underdog. Everyone cheers them on.
