One question. What’s the biggest thing you’ve learn about creativity? Blaine Hogan answers: “Those who produce the most meaningful work have found a way to defeat resistance. They’ve found a way to overcome fear.”
My Take: When you challenge the norm, people feel threatened. They’re way of doing something is at risk. They either attack this new reality, or something in them has to change to accept it. People hate change.
So they go on the offensive. You will get criticism and judgment for challenging the norm.
The ones who create something meaningful are the ones who can push through the resistance. They are brave enough to face the hostility. They endure the hardships to be heard and make the world a better place.
Will your art matter? Are you willing to be brave? Are you willing to push through the resistance?
