Give yourself spaces to create. There’s nothing worse than a spark of inspiration coming when you’re unable to capture it. That’s why creatives need to surround themselves with canvases–spaces to capture their sparks of inspiration. Do you surround yourself with canvases?
Surround yourself with all types of canvases to create art however you feel. Even if you aren’t a painter, keep some paint and some canvas around. Even if you aren’t a musician, keep a little piano or synthesizer around to capture the melodies in your head.
The more space you maintain to capture your creations, the more they will be sparked. Be ready to capture it. Give yourself spaces to create.

I think the biggest space for creativity is time. I often have creative ideas too late. Or I simply wait too long before I start the creative process.
It’s really easy to get distracted too. That’ll lose you lots of time.

I keep a small, red sketch book with me along with some different colored markers. That way if I have lighting thoughts I can write them down, or if I see someone else’s design that I love I can note that, or even if I just see a beautiful sunset I can write down what I love about it. Funny – one of my favorite looks to create involves orange and a deep, vivid pink – like a sunset. I’ve also written down lyrics to songs even though I’m not a vocalist or musician.
Thanks for the encouragement.
Sounds like you’re already giving yourself canvases 🙂 I’m glad it works well for you too. thanks for sharing!
