iTunes Treasure Hunt

Looking for a little inspiration to get you past your creative block? Try an iTunes scavenger hunt. Open up your iTunes Store, go down to the Genius Recommendations. Pick an artist that looks appealing to you and listen to the most popular song from the album.

Now scroll down to the “Listeners Also Bought” section and pick a new album. Listen to the most popular song from that album. Keep doing this…at least for six degrees.

You’re taking yourself through a journey of musical discovery. You’ll start getting excited about some of the sounds that are out there. You might find yourself with a new playlist by the end of the experience.

But keep exploring until you get the inspiration you need. Try a different root band if all the music starts sounding the same. But get inspired–however long it takes.
