I’m always fascinated by good advertising. This ad for the waterproof camera by Canon is yet another piece of brilliant advertising. The thing that makes this brilliant is the location. Check it out:
This is an example of proximity that works wonderfully! It illustrates the idea of the product beautifully.
So what do you want to get across to your audience? Use location to your advantage.
- Something is bad: Put it in a urinal.
- Something is tasty: Put it at the bottom of a coffee cup.
- Something sounds good: Shove it in an oversized ear.
You get the idea. What examples have you seen of location and proximity being used well?

haha – I love that – very creative and effective IMHO.
definitely…i would want to buy the camera…at least for my next snorkeling adventure…
