I’ve been mulling over an idea in my mind for about a year. It’s a complex concept blending quantum physics, theology, and creativity into a single theory. It’s all there in my head and on paper, but I haven’t really released the concept yet. It’s just too complicated for folks to grab hold of without the perfect presentation.
This last week I finally scaled it down into an article I plan to release this December in Sunday| Mag.
But the interesting thing about this project is that I’ve been trying to make it work for a whole year. I’ve tried different mediums and different approaches, but none of them were working for me. It was pretty frustrating but I knew the timing and orchestration needed to be right, otherwise my masterpiece would fall on deaf ears.
I think we all deal with projects like this at times in our lives. Perhaps it’s your big dream project – something you’ve been conspiring about for ages.
Never let go of these big ideas. Perhaps the timing isn’t right and perhaps you don’t have the right execution planned. That’s ok. Put it on your back burners and reprocess it every now and then.
Each time you revisit the idea, test the proverbial frozen pond. Tap a foot here and there. See if it’s solid. It’s important we test and retest to see if our idea will stand on its own. If the timing isn’t right and the pond ice isn’t hard enough, pull it back and work on it later.
The timing will be right one day. Don’t worry about that. Just keep being faithful and don’t lose hope. Keep tinkering away – not until it’s perfect – but until the pond is thick enough – where it won’t sink.
