The holidays are over. If you’re like me, you let out an internal sigh. Sometimes the stress of the holiday times can drive you bonkers. Rabid shoppers, avid honkers, psycho drivers, layoffs and fires…it’s enough to make you curse December. We fail to enjoy what should be a magical season.
So this year I’m taking it back! I’m celebrating Christmas in July! I’ll deck my halls, jingle my bells, and tell Batman he smells in the blistering heat of summer. You and I will be the only ones in on it. We’ll steal all of the holiday joy for ourselves!
Bwahahahaha!
But seriously, here’s the scoop. Much of your creativity isn’t seen by the outside world until 6 months after you’ve finished creating. I’m designing graphics in December for my audience in July. Musicians are writing songs for Christmas shoppers on Memorial Day. Why not take advantage of this fact? Decorate your workspace for a future holiday, and enjoy it! Holidays experienced without all the stress are the best things you can do for yourself! Plus you reap the benefits of the creativity of the season that you might otherwise be too engaged in hair-pulling to appreciate.
