You’re a squirrel and inspiration is your acorn. Store it up. Don’t lose your inspiration.
If you’re in a period of life filled with inspiration, you won’t know what I’m talking about. But if you’re feeling dried up, you get it. You long to be back in that energy of excitement and motivation. You wish you wouldn’t have taken it for granted. Don’t worry, you can get it back. (Take some Creative Draino to get it back.)
The temptation when inspiration is flowing is to waste it. Good ideas are flowing naturally so it’s easy to just let them come and go. Don’t do this! Write them down. Keep a folder of inspiration so when you’re dried up you have reserves to draw from.
Be a greedy little squirrel and store up inspiration.

I’m happy to be your first ‘voice’ from the bloggosphere. Your take on ‘fake’ creativity is interesting. I’m a creativity catalyst who helps people activate creative potential with joy. You’re right about inspiration. We can store it up and use it to trigger new moments. An idea I’ve found helpful – is to understand those times which seem ‘uninspired’ are times we’re incubating. Use them to go out and play, laugh, and literally run around/dance/whatever. Movement, being out in nature, just action of scribbling using chalk on the sidewalk are all inspiring when done with a playful spirit.Capturing ideas in a journal is critical – as you’ve so brilliantly stated. Creators need notebooks with them 24/7. Keep up your wonderful word sharing & create an inspired day!
Thanks for the feedback, Marta!
