A couple weeks ago I complained about a complete lack of motivation. My brother, an avid traveler and director of the coolest leadership expedition organization out there (maybe the only) informed me I was suffering from vacation hangover.
This occurs most often when you get back from a lengthy vacation (2 weeks or more). You find you have no motivation and your creativity seems gone. I was sincerely worried I lost my mojo.
I got it back. If you’re dealing with the post-vacation hangover, don’t worry. You will too. The cause of the hangover is different for each person. Sometimes you’re just struggling to catch up with your missed work. Sometimes you’re bummed about the boring place you’ve returned to. Sometimes it was just a long, exhausting trip.
Whatever the reason, just trudge through. You’ll get out of the funk. Hopefully you’ve stored up inspiration for times like these.
