This week I asked some of my Twitter followers to describe creativity in word. I don’t think there’s a right or wrong answer…rather it’s what creativity means to you. And it should be different for every person…because it manifests itself differently in every person. So here they are along with my thoughts.
Got a case of creative block? Today’s creative draino: find something to celebrate. Then celebrate! Find something that went well in your week, and go party. You can celebrate a completed project, a good grade on a test…or even a well mowed lawn.
A company wants to make the public aware of a new product. It’s a good idea to spend money on an advertising campaign. Clever slogan, fun visuals and a strong brand are all good ideas. But a great idea would be to invest in their current customers. Give incentives to the customers for spreading the news.…
One of the biggest sources of stress for me is driving. Between the yelling, the honking and the swerving I’m ready to pull my hair out when I get to my destination. Not to mention what the other drivers on the road do… So I get to work stressed. And stress kills creativity.
The deformed gummy bear. The most intriguing bear in the bunch. Even though the makers of gummy bears want them all to look the same, every now and then a deformed gummy bear gets put in the bag. Ironically, the deformed one is the one I’m most excited about eating.
Creatively stuck? You need some creative draino. Today’s batch is a bit scary. But it will get your creative brain back where it needs to be.
