She spent her lifetime living in a bubble. She woke up under her blankets. She jumped into her clothes. She rushed to her car. She put on her sunglasses. She worked in an office. She lived in a house. She lived in unending shelter–a bubble–cut off from the world.
It’s easy to live in a bubble. One of our basic human needs is shelter. But our generation is taking our need fulfillment to the extreme. We shut ourselves out from the rest of the world. We shut ourselves out from inspiration. Creative block happens easily.
Do something today to break out of your shelter. Remove your sunglasses. Eat outside. Kick off your shoes. Drive with your windows down. Go for a walk.
The world was meant to be experienced through our bodies–not through glass and clothes. Expose yourself to the world. Expose yourself to inspiration.
Note: Please keep an acceptable amount of clothes on in public places.

There is something to be said for taking risks that makes life feel more exciting. It’s easy to get in a rut, especially when you get older and acquire such responsibilities like a family and a mortgage. Sometimes the status quo seems difficult enough to keep up with, but eventually it’ll drive you mad if you accept it.
As a musician, it’s too easy to sit in my house and write songs that nobody will hear. But when I go out and play them for other people, the world seems to come alive.
good words 🙂
