This is one of my favorite ways to get the creative juices flowing when I feel dried up. I pick a random topic from my past (a musician, actor, tv show, subject from school) and look it up on Wikipedia. Read a bit, then click on a random link inside that page and look at another subject. Read, and repeat.
Keep doing this until you stumble upon something inspiring. You’ll know it’s inspiring when you feel a sense of jitters and an urgency to act upon this new knowledge or idea you have. The inspiration might come in the form of an idea for something you’re already working on…or inspiration in a completely different direction. Go with it.
