Yesterday I told you about the tough times I was having getting motived. I did a few things wrong, but I did eventually find motivation. I finally connected with a buddy on Skype and started getting my creative juices going. I got motivated.
But I didn’t start creating immediately. I let it stew.
Have you ever made chili? It’s pretty simple. Cook the meat with some spices, garlic, onions, etc. You can make a decent chili in as little as 30 minutes.
But the really good chilis…they take time. A good chili has time to let the favors combine. It changed from cooked meat in spices to a new entity—chili.
Sometimes we need to let our inspiration and motivation cook together. We need to give it time to combine.
So instead of creating immediately when the spark finally comes, let it stew.
Garden. Cook dinner. Shower. Eat. Your inspiration and motivation will grow. Then create.

Some ideas and inspirations like chilli are a whole lot better after a night of sitting. Letting everything play out before rushing it.
definitely 🙂
